A Living Example

“Without the distance learning programs and night and weekend courses at Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School of Education and Human Services, I would never have been able to earn my master’s degree. At the time, I was a single mother and I couldn’t afford the luxury of a traditional route to an advanced diploma. I simply didn’t have the time or financial flexibility. The access to education provided by the Fischler School was truly a blessing to me, and as principal of JFK Middle School, my goal is to provide that same access to all our students.

In today’s society, my situation is not uncommon. I believe our job as educators is to meet the needs of our students at every level possible and at times that are convenient for them. That is why technology is so important and can be such a valuable teaching tool, not to replace, but rather to assist educators.
The Fischler School exemplifies this philosophy through their online programs and blended degree formats. Today, my son is taking advantage of these options and earning his master’s degree online at the Fischler School!”
