The minor in community college leadership at the Fischler School of Education prepares students to pursue a professional leadership career within the community college system. Community college administrators, professors, researchers, and policy analysts are able to assess, plan, coordinate, and contribute to the expansion and improvement of community college leadership on a global scale.Courses in the doctor of education in community college leadership program were developed and are taught by community college chancellors, presidents, and deans with worldwide experience. Course content for the online Ed.D. in community college leadership is research based and infuses best practices in education.

The concentration component of the Doctor of Education program allows students to maximize their knowledge and skills of their current and/or an emerging field. Students seeking a Ph.D. in applied behavior analysis should consider our Ed.D. program with a minor in applied behavior analysis. Concentrations require a minimum of 18 credits in the area of study, but may require up to 24 credits. Concentration courses must be taken online.

Through the elective component, students individualize their doctoral degrees. Depending on the number of credits required in the main concentration, students must complete the minimum 66-credit requirement using electives. These electives may also be applied toward a second concentration (18–24 credits) or a minor (15 credits). Elective courses must be taken online.
