Office of Student Judicial Affairs
Abraham S. Fischler School of Education
The Office of Student Judicial Affairs (OSJA) serves to facilitate the resolution of disputes between students and the administration or faculty through both formal and informal measures. To this end, its primary responsibility lies in the adjudication of student appeals and grievances through formal reviews by committee when informal measures do not achieve a satisfactory resolution.
Upon appropriate referral, OSJA also arbitrates academic and nonacademic student problems and issues that are unresolved through regular processes and procedures.
Students with a documented disability may also direct requests for reasonable accommodations through OSJA in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
