The master of human services in child protection with a concentration in advocating for the special needs child’s education focuses on developing professionals with the knowledge and proficiency to identify the diverse natures of exceptional children in order to provide inclusive education, teach social and personal skills, and advocate for the proper education of special needs children. Course content is research based and infuses best practices in education.

Individuals working with special needs children within the social services, juvenile justice systems, and K-12 public and private school systems who wish to obtain graduate degrees and increase their expertise in their current field
Individuals with bachelor’s degrees who wish to obtain graduate degrees and increase their knowledge and skills with special needs children

Coursework for the advocating for the special needs child’s education concentration is conducted entirely online. This approach allows students to receive and submit coursework and interact with participants and professors via the Internet. This distance delivery option allows busy professionals to complete their degrees without having to leave their jobs or travel long distances.
